Exodus 26:9 - Second Covering of The Tent of the Mishkan - Details

Exodus 26:9

9 And thou shalt couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shalt double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tabernacle.

Each of eleven(11) pieces of the Second Covering of the Tent was 30 cubits wide and 4 cubits long. Five and Six such pieces were aligned together....

...then - stiched, just like the pieces of the first covering....

...resulting in this...

...the Sixth (6th) piece on the edge of one of the resulting parts of the covering was folded under, in half...

...resulting in a "doubled", 30 by 2 cubits piece....

And the resulting two pieces of the covering would look like this:

Therefore, the Second Covering of the Tent of the Tabernacle would consist of two pieces:
  1. First piece was 30 cubits wide and 20 cubits long, made out of 5 stiched pieces 30x4 cubits each.
  2. Second piece was 30 cubits wide and 24 cubits long, made out of 6 stiched pieces 30x4 cubits each, with 6th piece folded under itself, in half.
