This is a rather interesting subject... How to observe the Torah and continue to believe God in the darkest of the darkest hours?
For example, I had a food poisoning recently and all I was thinking about is the Hospital and ER. I had only few thoughts about God or Torah.... I try but when you are throwing up all over the place every five minutes, it is not as easy as one may think.
So what to do is such situation?
Well...always remember that God is your healer and that you live by the Law (Torah). So if you do not feel well, it means that you have violated the Law and God decided to punish you a little bit. This is why I think God and Torah does not cross one's mind when he is sick...I mean, you are in the middle of punishment so it is easier to just concentrate on the punishment and misery and get it over with.
Of'course, once I went to the ER and got their healing IVs and shots, I felt much better and could get back to God and Torah. I actually felt good after all this, because what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
Since it was a food poisoning, I most certainly violated Dietary Laws, so there was no one to blame but myself.
Regardless, even if you are in the middle of shit-storm and you feel horrible, always remember Yahuah and His Torah. This will help you to get your mind of the pain and suffering. Also, it really helps to wear TziTzit, because this way you will definitely remember God and His Torah even if you are by the toilet, throwing up.
