As you can see from the picture below, yesterday was indeed Full Moon Shabbat. I took this picture around 9PM. As you can see, the Moon was still perfectly round even though it has been 14+ hours since the phase.
The moon appeared full a day before Shabbat, but it was an illusion. This is why it is important to use charts/calculations to double check when is the correct Shabbat day.
Full Moon is hard to see phase. It is not clearly visible. This is why I prefer to rely on Half Moons to determine the Shabbat day of the week for a month.
